{"id":80354,"date":"2025-11-27T14:21:51","date_gmt":"2025-11-27T12:21:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/shop.torricantine.com\/product\/sottovento-montepulciano-dabruzzo-doc-riserva-15l\/"},"modified":"2025-11-27T14:21:51","modified_gmt":"2025-11-27T12:21:51","slug":"sottovento-montepulciano-dabruzzo-doc-riserva-15l","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/shop.torricantine.com\/en\/product\/sottovento-montepulciano-dabruzzo-doc-riserva-15l\/","title":{"rendered":"Sottovento Montepulciano d\u2019Abruzzo DOC Riserva 1,5L"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><strong>Torri \u2013 Sottovento Montepulciano d\u2019Abruzzo DOC Riserva \u2013 14.5%<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><strong>Sensory notes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Colour<\/strong>: A bright and impenetrable ruby red, showing excellent consistency.<br \/>\n<strong>Nose<\/strong>: energetic and deep, standing out for its intensity and complex aromatic profile, dominated by ripe blackberry, cherry and sour cherry, with delicate spicy hints on the finish.<br \/>\n<strong>Palate<\/strong>: The intensity is reinforced on the palate, with flavours that, in addition to reflecting the nose, recall black cherry, cherry and wild berries.<br \/>\nFreshness is intact, supported by silky tannins, well balanced by a refined, elegant warmth and softness, all contributing to a very pleasant drinkability.<\/p>\n<p>A persistent finish, marked by spicy notes and a pleasantly almond-like touch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Harvest<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From an old vineyard trained in the traditional Abruzzo pergola system, located in one of the region\u2019s most characteristic areas, at an altitude offering excellent temperature variation and magnificent exposure.<\/p>\n<p>A Montepulciano d\u2019Abruzzo DOC obtained from an October harvest carried out strictly by hand, ensuring the utmost respect for the surrounding environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Winemaking<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Vinified in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation, 6 months of maturation in cement tanks, then 12 months in barriques, before bottling in total absence of oxygen and ageing for an additional 6 months.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Food pairing \u2013 Montepulciano d\u2019Abruzzo DOC Riserva<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It needs time to fully express itself, so it should be opened well in advance and served between 16 and 18\u00b0C in a large glass with a wide rim.<br \/>\nIt pairs best with structured and flavourful dishes: aperitifs, starters, first courses, vegetarian dishes, red meats and medium to long-aged cheeses.
