Bakán Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC Riserva Torri
Sensory Notes
Color: An impenetrable ruby red color, enhanced by a delicate garnet hue.
Nose: In a varied and intense olfactory profile, aromas of ripe blackberry, Morello cherry, and blackberry stand out, with delicate hints of undergrowth on the finish.
Taste: The tasting experience is smooth and elegant, with notes of Morello cherry, cherry, wild berries, accompanied by a beautiful freshness and silky tannins in the mouth, perfectly balanced by warmth and sweetness that do not disturb the pleasant tasting. A persistent, spicy, and pleasantly bitter finish.
Harvest
It comes from one of the most renowned areas of Abruzzo, from an ancient vineyard cultivated with pergola training system, at an ideal altitude ensuring a remarkable temperature range and magnificent exposure.
A Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC obtained from a mid-October harvest, rigorously manual, as part of certified organic agriculture, ensuring the utmost respect for the environment.
Winemaking
Winemaking in thermo-conditioned steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation, 6 months of aging in cement tanks, then 12 months in barrels, before being bottled in complete absence of oxygen and aging for another 6 months.
Food and Wine Pairing with our Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC Riserva Bakán
It needs time to reveal itself, so we recommend opening it before tasting, at a temperature between 16 and 18 degrees, in a spacious glass with a wide rim.
Excellent with well-structured and tasty dishes: appetizers, starters, pasta dishes, vegetarian dishes, red meats, and medium to long-aged cheeses. Cured meats, pappardelle with Bolognese sauce, garganelli with walnut and celery sauce, stuffed beef rolls, or a well-aged Pecorino from Castel del Monte.
