In the province of Teramo between Colonnella and Controguerra, in a fifty-year old vineyard with canopy style training, at 290 meters asl and magnificently exposed to south-south / east, the DOCG of the Turan Line of the Torri Cantine is born.
Produced with 100% pure montepulciano d’Abruzzo grapes, from a strictly hand harvested at the end of october. The wine ferments in thermoconditioned steel tanks, malolactic fermentation follows, and a subsequent aging for 6 months in the cement tanks.
Afterwards it is aged for no less than 24 months in large barrels, before staring a further 6 months of refinment in the bottle in total absence of oxygen.
Let’s taste it
A bright intense ruby red, almost unpenatrable. On the nose you can appreciate the scents of violet, ripe blackberrie, forest fruits, spices, pepper, coffee, all well integrated with each other.
You can enjoy the classic drinkability, warm, rich in charm, a full and soft taste that recalls the smell with the addition of intense balsamic notes.
A freshness perfectly aligned to its structure and welcomed by a dynamic tannin that lingers in the corners of the mouth.
The finish is long and persistent, characterized by a pleasant and appreciated taste.
A wine that needs time to reveal itself, so it is necessary to open it a little before serving it, maintaining a variable temperature between 16 ° and 18 ° and with a large glass with a wide brim.
An excellent wine, welcomed in every occasion. You can taste it both alone and with good company, best if combined with structured and tasty dishes. Absolutely appropriate also with aperitifs, starters, red meats, vegetarian dishes and semi to long-seasoned cheeses. Let’s imagine an italian starter, lasagna bolognese, roast lamb, eggplant parmigiana, also fragrant cheeses like a gorgonzola or a pecorino.
